Energy Systems Group, LLC (ESG), a CenterPoint Energy (NYSE:CNP) company, is a leading energy services provider that designs, builds and operates energy-related infrastructure solutions for its customers.  The Associate Counsel advises and represents the company in coordination with the General Counsel regarding a broad array of matters of significant legal importance. This position is administratively intensive and requires a Juris Doctor and admission to practice law in the State of Indiana (or be admitted in another state and willing to take steps necessary to gain admission to the bar of the State of Indiana), experience with and knowledge of legal research, significant contract drafting experience, and the ability to determine legal requirements.

Job tasks include, but are not limited to, drafting and reviewing all manner of legal documents, providing legal and ethical advice and counsel to management and co-workers, negotiating contracts, dispute resolution with third parties, electronic legal research, decision-making regarding company compliance with applicable laws and regulations, building spreadsheets, power point presentations, and creating and maintaining contract/legal databases.
